It seems that New Zealanders have something against central heating. Maybe they save some money in the long run, but the number of little heating implements they have to make up for the lack of central heat makes me wonder just how much. Here are three from my room (there are others elsewhere in the house).
1. The space heater (every kiwi bedroom has one):
2. The electric mattress pad (like an electric blanket, only more luxurious):
3. The heated towel rod (my favorite!):
